There is a new culinary and family recreation in my town, Bandung. The name is Kampung Gajah or Elephant Village. But, there is no elephant whatsoever here, it's just a name after all :).Located in Sersan Bajuri Street Km 3,8 (Used to be Century Hills) Lembang, Bandung, West Java - Indonesia. From the Ledeng Bus station take left turn and you will find a huge ads to take you to this place.
Kampung Gajah is a place to shop, eat, and have fun with your family and friends. Ok, now we'll check it one by one :
1. Outdoor Activities
Don't we all love the outdoor activities? I love outdoor activities, more than just shop and dine. Kampung Gajah has many kind of outdoor activities, like ATV Touring, Fun Bike, Horse Riding, Segway Buggy, SkyRider and Children Playground.
Also Bumper Boat, Fish Spa, Mini Buggies, Kites Workshop, Face Painting, Shoe Painting, Instant Printed T-Shirt, and Photo Booth.
They have a 439 meter long Skyrider, the longest Flying skyrider in my country. Where you can fly alone or with accompany to enjoy the mountainous view of Bandung.
And for the kids, they can play in spongebob's house, there is a playground with Spongebob's house on it. They can try the mini flying fox, swing and swing, monkey bar, trampoline, and ride a bicycle or mini becak (pedi cab) on bicycle track.
You can play with your kids all day long. The scenery is great and the weather is cool and fresh.
Fresh air and beautiful scenery make the area of Bandung, West Java, a great place to eliminate tiredness after a week of work. In Kampung Gajah, travelers will able to see the city of Bandung from the heights. Here's where the only place to see beautiful scenery of the city.

There are many T-shirt, bags, shoes, sellers all around this place.
4. Convention Hall
The Convention Hall can be used as for a wedding that can accommodate about a thousand invitations. This place is also designed for musical performances that can accommodate 3 to 4 thousand visitors.
And it's not just a convention hall, but also for wedding party, events and exhibition hall, karaoke, bar&lounge.
About Kampung Gajah
The President of Kampung Gajah is Mr. Jeffry Kurniawan, a young entrepreneur born in Bandung May 1977. Kampung Gajah stands on 58 acres of land and has owned a permit to develop up to 200 acres. This is definitely a big project in my town.
Kampung Gajah first open in October 2009 and it has about eight thousand visitors every weekends.
Fee for each game about 25,000 IDR to 150,000 IDR or $2.5 to $15 I think it's quite expensive for local people. But it's worth trying. You don't have to pay an entrance fee, just pay for the parking ticket about 2,000 IDR or $0.2 per hour.
I think this place is great for family recreation, only has to pay much attention about the toilet sanitation, and add more toilets will be an advantage specially in holidays where many people are visiting this place.
